Graphite packings offer high temperature capability, good chemical resistance and markedly reduced spindle wear. The packing does not glaze or harden in use and it has a low elastic module. Graphite packings also have a low coefficient of friction and good dimensional stability. By combining different versions of graphite packings we are able to offer a range of packings with varied characteristics. These include i.e. high conformability, resistance to extrusion, chemical purity as well as temperature and oxidation resistance.
K40
An exceptional packing combining carbon and Inconel® for high-temperature and high-pressure valve applications. K40 also has a graphite lubricant to reduce stem wear and increase material density.
