Vent silencers

Noise pollution causes harm to the environment when gas, steam or air expands and exits the application.  Vent silencers are mounted after relief valves to reduce noise pollution to a bearable level. Relief valves are commonly used in i.e. power stations, as well as chemical, petrochemical and other similar plants. Our product range consists of nine different types of vent silencers, which are suitable for use with air and its constituents, steam, natural gas and technical gases. Let us help you select the most suitable vent silencer to your application!

Absorbing silencer

Diffuser silencer

Diffuser silencer with insulated shell

Combined silencer

Inline diffuser silencer

Typical application:

  • Any vent or blow-down application
  • Boiler start-up and purge
  • Turbine bypass

Typical noise reduction: ≥ 25 dB

  • Any vent or blow-down application
  • Boiler start-up and purge
  • Turbine bypass

Typical noise reduction: up to 50 dB

Typical application:

  • Any vent or blow-down application
  • Boiler start-up and purge
  • Turbine bypass

Typical noise reduction: ≥ 50 dB

Typical application:

  • Closed systems requiring muffled in-line expansion of gaseous fluids under pressure without releasing them into the atmosphere (e.g. condenser injection, turbine bypass)

Typical noise reduction: up to 50 dB

Dump tube

Collecting pipe

Rental silencer

Typical application:

  • Gas expansion into low-pressure environments
  • Condenser injection
  • Turbine bypass
  • Controlled redirection and distribution of gas flows
  • Pressure or temperature control

Typical noise reduction: up to 35 dB

Typical application:

  • Dump tube applications requiring better noise attenuation

Typical noise reduction: up to 50 dB

Typical application:

  • Collection of gas flows from two or more pipes, including such with different pressures

Typical noise reduction: up to 15 dB (without silencer)

Typical application:

  • Starting-up, bypassing, venting and blowing down of gases that (potentially) contain solid particles
  • Purging of (potentially) contaminated installations

Typical noise reduction: up to 70 dB
