Orbit® 3 is the latest high-performance product from Solartron Metrology. The system was originally developed to provide a simple way of connecting linear measuring sensors to networks without the need to use analog converters or amplifiers. By calibrating the sensor and the electronics together the resulting system is extremely linear throughout the measuring range, which removes the need to use expensive minimum and maximum area interpreters.
