Solartron Metrology has updated its Orbit measurement system to version 3. The new models have i.e. better accuracy, hot swap replacement option as well as optional IP65 protection class to name a few.

Orbit® 3 is the latest high-performance product from Solartron Metrology. The system was originally developed to provide a simple way of connecting linear measuring sensors to networks without the need to use analog converters or amplifiers. By calibrating the sensor and the electronics together the resulting system is extremely linear throughout the measuring range, which removes the need to use expensive minimum and maximum area interpreters.
- Orbit LT laser sensor has 15 mm measuring range and it is suited for many applications that require e.g. contactless measuring or great measuring speed
- Sensor is available both as Orbit3 and Orbit ACS version
- ACS version has an analog output and it can be used on its own if necessary
