The loadcell signal conditioner amplifies the low level signal from the Wheatstone bridge. This signal is typically about 2mV/V and is amplified generally to 0-10V or 4-20mA standard signal.
Force sensors and load cells
Force sensors are most commonly used in weighing applications but they are available for a wide range of applications. Force sensors use strain strips, which change their resistance when they are stretched. The signal provided is amplified in the force sensor amplifier, which gives the final standard output signal.
Force sensors are often provided customized, which is possible even for individual sensors.
The installation of force sensors is very important as weak or insufficient structure surrounding the sensor can easily destroy the precision of even a good sensor.
